Intro to Part I
W-pi.44
Oneness Commentary:
LESSON 44
God is the light in which I see.
+++
You think you know what light is, but you do not. Your knowledge of light was taught to you by your eyes. The eyes rely on contrast and otherness.
What you think of as light is a reflection of, or a symbol of, life. It is contrasted in your mind with the darkness; the absence of, or the contrasting otherness of this light.
Right-mindedness is the correct perception of the light and the darkness.
One- mindedness (Only-ness thinking) God’s Reality is Known beyond perceptions. In Only-ness thinking, there is no contrasting otherness. Darkness is therefore an opposite that cannot be True if Oneness is true.
Because Oneness is true, Real sight is a function of the mind and not the eyes.
In this Course, life (light) can have no opposite.
