The pursuit of “little senseless aims” is energized by the great importance we have assigned certain particulars. Other particulars remain less important.
In this view, a particular (“something else”) will seem more important than Oneness.
The pursuit of little senseless aims causes us to forget the vital point that “something else” is not true while Oneness is true.
