Intro to Part I
W-pi.2
Oneness Commentary:
LESSON 2
I have given everything I see in this room
[on this street, from this window, in this place]
all the meaning that it has for me.
+++
Your default tendency is to overlook the fact that you have assigned meaning to the things you perceive. This assigned meaning makes the perceived item more special or less special than other items.
If the assigned meaning is particularly significant to you, you will take the item seriously. Perhaps you will see it as a threat. You forget to laugh. You, then, become unable to see things as they are.
This process magnifies separation, in your mind.
This is how Oneness seems to be shattered into a multitude.
