LESSON 34

A Course In Oneness Blog

Instructions below *

Intro to Part I

W-pi.34-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 34

I could see peace instead of this.

+++

Love is not affection.

Loving thoughts spring from recognizing and accepting a relationship of non-difference or Oneness.

Unloving thoughts must rely on the assumption that separation is true.

Choosing begins when you notice that Love, the relationship of non-difference, is available.

Intro to Part I

W-pi.33-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 33

There is another way of looking at the world.

+++

Your miscreations are presented to you as “evidence” that separation, and not Oneness, is real. Your experience of being immersed in separation does not alter the Reality that Oneness remains the only Reality.

You are the source of (as in, non-different from) EVERY experience you have. How could it be otherwise if Oneness is true? EVERY experience is either:

  • an expression of the Oneness in your mind, or
  • an opportunity to accept Oneness by your mind.

If you are aware of distress, it is because you are faced with an opportunity to accept Oneness.

Intro to Part I

W-pi.32-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 32

I have invented the world I see.

+++

Without you, the world that you see is no more.

It is tempting to read this as a statement that you are misperceiving the world or misinterpreting your perception of it. Such a reading is much easier to accept than the plain recognition of your immensity.

What is held in your mind as truth is the source of this world.

The world you see demonstrates differences and distinctions; God cannot be its source.

As Oneness is true, everything God creates must be no different than God.

Intro to Part I

W-pi.31-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 31

I am not the victim of the world I see.

+++

The thought system of your mind is the source of the world you see.

You have accepted that separation is true. This seminal self-deception is necessary to imagine that you can be separate from God. In this light, you see victims and victimizers in this world.

As you accept the victimization that you see, you must imagine that you could be a victim also: a victim of others, a victim of circumstances, a victim of the world you see, a victim of God.

If Oneness is true, there can be no victims or victimizers.

Oneness is true.

Your belief in this truth is unnecessary, yet your declaration is requested here. You have (literally) nothing to lose.

Intro to Part I

W-pi.30-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 30

God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.

+++

What is perceived (seen) in a separated world represents the separation belief in your mind, yet there is also a place in the mind that never forgot “Home”.

This is why Oneness can be “seen” in a world of separation.

As you practice the thought of joining with that-which-seems-separate, your mind becomes more accustomed to the Oneness of “Home”.

Intro to Part I

W-pi.28-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 28

Above all else I want to see things differently.

+++

You see separation as true because your mind is no longer accustomed to the abstraction of Oneness.

This course prepares your mind for the knowing of Oneness while you seem to be immersed in separation.

This Oneness is the “Home” you are no longer accustomed to, yet a part of you only wants this. That is the part that you will connect with today, as you continue the journey “Home.”

Your task: to see all separated things in the light of Oneness.

Your goal: to further accustom your mind to Oneness, without fear and distress.

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 27

Above all else I want to see.

+++

You may ask, “What is there to gain in Oneness?” Ask instead, “What is lost?”

In separation, you are taught to hold on to your tiny piece.

Accepting Oneness requires you to let go of the piece to have the whole, the One, the All.

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 26

My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.

+++

The supporting assumption of the idea “against” is separation.

While it may be possible to let go of the idea of “against” by questioning this supporting assumption, you will not likely do so while being distracted by your fear of harm from some perceived threat.

Oneness remains true, and the idea of “against” has no place in it.

W-pi.25-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 25

I do not know what anything is for.

+++

In the world of multiples, there are multiple things. These things serve multiple purposes, and your interactions with them can lead to multiple possible outcomes.

The world of multiples teaches that the purpose of each thing is different and that this difference of purpose is important. From this teaching, you are certain that you know what you know about every thing you perceive. But when the idea of Oneness is applied to the concept of the purpose of a thing, you find it challenging to even have the right questions before you.

If Oneness is true, there can be no things. Therefore, Oneness is a complete mystery for the mind that must regard things perceived.

Uncomfortable in the presence of “not-knowing, we make things up. From this, the mind of multiplicity will see a drop of water in the ocean’s depths as a “thing” apart.

The development of comfort in the presence of “not-knowing” has tremendous value today.
