LESSON 6

A Course In Oneness Blog

Instructions below *

Intro to Part I

W-pi.6-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 6

I am upset because I see something that is not there.

+++

You believe the voice in your head; you call it “My thoughts”.

Notice that, among upsetting things, one thing is always more upsetting, more special than another. This makes them both special and different. You are upset and do not remember that differences cannot be true if Oneness is true.

Consider these questions:

Are you the “thinker” of these thoughts or simply the audience for this voice?

Do you have these thoughts, or do these thoughts have you?

Intro to Part I

W-pi.2-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 2

I have given everything I see in this room

[on this street, from this window, in this place]

all the meaning that it has for me.

+++

Your default tendency is to overlook the fact that you have assigned meaning to the things you perceive. This assigned meaning increases or decreases that thing’s “specialness” compared to other things.

If the assigned meaning is particularly significant to you, you will take that thing seriously. Perhaps you will even see it as a threat. You forget to laugh. You, then, become unable to see things as they are.

This process magnifies separation in your mind.

This is how Oneness seems to be shattered into a multitude.

W-pii.344-

Today I learn the law of love;

that what I give my brother is my gift to me

+++

In Oneness, there is a “flow” of universal same-ness.

In Oneness, the idea of loss (or gain) is unknowable.

Oneness is profoundly full, Joyful.

In Oneness, sharing is complete.

Intro to Part II

What is the Ego?

W-pii.332-

Oneness Commentary:

LESSON 332

Fear binds the world. Forgiveness sets it free.

+++

The world (of separated, dis-unified, contesting parts) is bound together in fear like warring elements in a cage. The voice for peace and Oneness can be challenging to notice.

Remembering Forgiveness creates the necessary quietude to hear the freedom song of God’s Love above the battlefield.
